Is this game 64bit? If not, you could try checking the LAA flag in the executable and switch it on if necessary. I was having all sorts of problems grabbing The Witcher 2 until I realised it simply couldn't access the RAM it needed.

Huh? My Witcher 2 executable was LAA by default. I'm using the GOG version. Maybe that was an oversight on the dev build.

Found the FOV for the gameplay and freecam.

I also added the time of day hack and debug-key enabler.

    Download.

to use the table for FOV

    F1 to enable
+ to increase value; - to decrease value

It was indeed just that. Maybe they added LAA post-2.0 or something.
  • any idea how to remove the enemies life gauge/name ?!!

it's the only thing left after HUD toggle and it ruins my plans to capture gameplay shots
  • Toggling the HUD should remove all interface icons (Ctrl+H) whereas setting up the config file so that the minimap and health bar is hidden (Essentially removing the entire UI.) you will still see enemy names/health and names of objects you interact with / pick up.

I'll have to take a look now that you mentioned it, unless they changed it in the patch it should work.
(I did notice that the patch added the two "hidden" UI options - toggling of the minimap/compass and player health - to the config file but it shouldn't have changed it's behavior.)

The game was updated to 64-bit with a couple of new graphical effects, of course this also breaks the current debug key method but after some trial & error I think I managed to replicate it. :)

The instructions for the old x86 version of the game can be found here:
    http://forum.worldofplayers.de/forum/threads/1374803-Risen-3-Cheats-Konsole-öffnen/page4

So in Cheat-Engine I simply did a string search for "AVeCProfilerAdmin" and then browsed that memory region, this is probably not how you are meant to do this but I then toggled every single bit in that address range from 00 to 01 going back and forth between Cheat-Engine and the game until Ctrl+H once again turned the HUD off.

Anyway the new address should be "140BE49F0" and changing the value from 0 to 1 should re-activate the debug keys.

If you open the old .cetrainer file in notepad and change this:

"Toggle Debug-Keys on/off"

    <Color>80000008</Color>
    <VariableType>Byte</VariableType>

00DFA12C

    To this:

"Toggle Debug-Keys on/off"

    <Color>80000008</Color>
    <VariableType>Byte</VariableType>

140BE49F0

It should work with the updated version of the game. :)
(At least this part of the table.)

    EDIT:

    Hud On:

    Hud Off:
    http://s19.postimg.org/xral8t0f7/Risen3_2015_08_21_18_43_21_443.jpg

(Of course the other debug keys work as well such as ALT+H to bring up the statistics screen - and also change the weather - or Pause to well, pause the game and Ctrl+Insert for free camera movement to name a few of them, Ctrl+Home should stop the free camera by the way.)

i'll give it a run again and see what happens with the new debug options

edit: can't get the debug console to work again

  • If you open the old .cetrainer file in notepad and change this:

Thanks! Is there a way to change the FOV with free cam?

Blast from the past I guess, I wonder if this could still work in Elex but with the primary Cheat-Engine forum down since a while back finding the original posts for how all this worked isn't possible so well time to see if this can work, there's a HUD toggle in the options menu at least but as a third person game you'd be driving into corners to try and clip/phase the character model out of view or it'd be nothing but butt-shots in different environments. :D

Well nothing to do but try, it's still the Genome engine and it's a bit rough but the game world is really well crafted and I'm enjoying it immensely so far. :)

Now how can I break this game, ha ha.

EDIT: Nope, couldn't be that easy it seems well there might still be other means.

EDIT: Or I could go the other way... 140DAE868 Found you! Hah it still works. :D

So for this game it's closer to do a string search for AVeCEngine and then right clicking on that in Cheat-Engine and selecting "Browse this memory region."

And then just going down through these addresses until 140DAE868 and just toggling the byte here from 00 to 01 to enable debug key mode. :)
The games ini file holds all the available key combinations and while most of them are for debugging or troubleshooting it still works.
(HUD toggle and fly mode for example.)

So do you have a final version of this table?

  • A .CT file of the above? Sure. :)

  • Works fine for me, but only on Steam version. Thanks
